Entry fee for the cruz-in car show is FREE and we will be handing out special "fun" awards. Food and drinks will be available. Music, door prizes, cool cars and fun should be the order of the day. May 10, 2008 - Seymour High School Car Club students are hosting the 2nd Annual Hotrods and Academics Car Show located on the beautiful front lawn of Seymour High School on May 10, 2008. The show is open to the public and to all makes and models. The entry fee is $10. There will also be a separate class for students that bring a report card that shows a C average or better. Trophies will be given for the Top 5 and we have lots of door prizes to give away. There will be lots of fun for the whole family including a coloring contest and slot car races! May 17. 2008 - Brush Creek Elementary Car Show/Spring festival in North Vernon, Indiana. Registration is from 8:00 to 12:00. The show runs from 12:00-4:00. We are having our second annual Car Show/Spring Festival this year and we would like to invite as many participants and patrons as possible. We had a successful first show last May with nearly 100 entrants including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even a tractor. We gave away some outstanding trophies, including the Principal's Choice that was nearly 5 feet tall! Each of our classrooms will pick their favorite entries too. May 24, 2008. -Summer Place, "A Real 50's Town" Is having its annual car show on Saturday, The proceeds benefit "A Home for Every Child Foundation." Your admission is tax deductible. Trophies will be awarded to the top 15 cars. A Summer Place Car Show t-shirt will be given to all pre- registered entries and dash plaques given to all car entries! Spend an enjoyable afternoon while strolling down Memory Lane to a unique, one-of-a-kind place! Listen to the disc jockey spinning the tunes from the 50's and 60's and enjoy old movies playing continuously in the movie theater! Also, old "500" race cars, sprint cars, round-track cars and midgets from the 50's will be on display! Burgers, fries and old-fashioned flavored cokes will be served in our own Angel's Diner all afternoon. Banana Splits will also be available for just $3 each. Admission is $5 per person. First Baptist Church will hold their 1st in hopes to be annual Car, Truck, and Bike Show to help raise money to send their mission team to Show Low, Arizona. Mission trip members will be working on a boarding school that specializes in meeting the needs of Native American students. The group will also travel into the Navajo and Apache Indian Reservations and work with the children of these Reservations. Many parts of these reservations are flooded with poverty, alcoholism, domestic abuse, and violence. The group hopes to show the children what real Love is, as well as, educate them on how they can better themselves. Registration fee is $15. Registration will take place from 9:00am-12:00pm.
